Bangladeshi Kids and a Rickshaw

by Lauren on May 23, 2011

Here is a shot of my summer adventures in Bangladesh. Kids are a delight everywhere you go, and these ones in a Chittagong fishing village were thrilled to see a caucasian person.

Experience a rickshaw ride through Sylhet, the coffee-producing northeast of Bangladesh. Averaging 90 lbs, the rickshaw drivers pedal all day on a one-geared bike, charging patrons less than 50 cents. If Lance Armstrong weren’t armed with Gu and Gatorade to refuel after his arduous climbs, he might resemble one of these skinny guys.
